Happy New Year!

It's a new year! Well, not quite as new as it was two days ago but it's till that period of time close to new year's where you and the cashier at the grocery store wish each other a happy new year so it counts. And with that, my magical cat-filled holiday time comes to a close. (Have I mentioned yet how fluffy and cuddly my mother's cat is? Because I feel like I need to let you know in every post even tangentially related to Her Meowjesty.) Maybe that means I can fall back into a rhythm of checking social media and keeping up with friends more too; that would be nice.

How's the year been for you so far? I hope you didn't get buried under a sudden avalanche of work already... It's been okay for me but I'm somehow still tired and haven't quite gotten my usual sleep rhythm back after NYE - I am definitely not a night owl, but what else is new.
